IFPSA have arranged training of SHG’s in various fields i.e. Basic Orientation Training, Group Management Training, Account Keeping Training, Tailoring Training, Training on Vermin Compost making, Nutritional Kitchen Garden Training, Training in Organic Farming, Training on food processing like Jam & Jelly making etc. & time to time exposure visit arranged to other area SHG’s so those SHGs nurtured by FPSA can get good field exposure
FPSA have developed Key Resource Person/Technical Manpower available for Tailoring, Embroidery Work, Food Processing like Fruit Jam and Jelly Preparation, Screen Printing, Jute bag & Jute Product making etc.
Under Sponsorship of WBWDU (West Bengal Women Development Undertaking Kolkata, FPSA had arranged infrastructure & training facilities under Swawlamban project to 150 Women of SC, ST & Minority as well as from general populace, up till now out of which 100 women of Bishnupur Municipality area provided training in Screen Printing & 50 women of Chhatna Block provided training in Ready made garment trade. Although now the projects completed, these Women already started their own venture through SHGs formed, these training program created significant interest among the women of this area in Screen Printing & Readymade Garment making trade. It may please be noted that on popular demand among women, WBWDU Kolkata sanctioned repeat program for 50 (fifty) women of the Bishnupur Block in 2009-2010 in Screen Printing trade.
In a survey by FPSA it was noted that IDA (Iron Deficiency Anemia) is prevalent among Women of Bishnupur & Chhatna Block. With help of base line data so generated FPSA created Awareness among women of reproductive age group about IDA (Iron Deficiency Anemia) and for its prevention Nutritional Kitchen Garden as pilot project started by FPSA
Counselling to reduce cases of domestic ill-treatment and violence faced by married women, often under duress, often by their in-laws, some time by their husband & prevention of early marriage of girls, before they attain 18 years of age and young man before they attain 21 year age.
FPSA moved by the pathetic health condition of the Minority and Backward Community particularly women of reproductive age group, of the locality of Bishnupur Municipality area, tried to provide them basic health care and protection. In this process with co-operation of Kolkata Urban Services for Poor (KUSP) through their Change management Unit in June 2009, carried out a survey on the socio-economic condition of Minority and backward community of Ward No. 6, 7, 9 and 15 located at the southern fringe of Bishnupur Municipality.
