West Bengal Women Development Undertaking (WBWDU) was incorporated as a Company under Companies Act 1956 (U/S 25) on 29th July 1993. Actual functioning started during early part of 1996.

MCC

Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) U.S. shares God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. MCC is concrete and hands-on. MCC addresses basic human needs such as water, food and shelter and works alongside churches and communities in a variety of efforts to build peace.

WKUSP-Kolkata

Kolkata Urban Services for the Poor(KUSP)The KUSP is one of the newest additions to Department for International Development (DFID) continuing endeavour to reduce urban poverty in India. The current project in West Bengal has been officialised through an 8th May 03 letter of Charlotte Seymour- Smith, the Minister Development) and Head, DFID India, to Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, confirming the UK Government’s allocation of funds vis-a-vis the KUSP program. The grant was made on the basis of Project concept note being jointly developed by Government of West Bengal and Government of India in 2001.

CASA-Kolkata

CASA though its initial focus was on providing immediate relief to victims of natural and human-induced calamities, CASA has today grown into a premier relief and development organization in the country, acting as the outreach arm of 24 Protestant and Orthodox Churches in India. Its primary objective today is to strengthen the poor and promote the efforts of marginalized groups of the Indian society towards sustainable development leading to social justice and self-sufficiency.

DOTS-RNTCP

The WHO-recommended Directly Observed Treatment, Short Course (DOTS) strategy was launched formally as Revised National TB Control programme in India in 1997 after pilot testing from 1993-1996. Since then DOTS has been widely advocated and successfully applied.
