WBWDU -West Bengal Women Development Undertaking’s SWAWLAMBAN Project: In the year 2008, WBWDU allotted FPSA a grant for training in Screen printing trade for 50 urban & rural poor women, under Bishnupur Block & Bishnupur Municipality. This was a unique program in views of the beneficiaries-now after completion of this training- they find new vistas of Income. Banks of the area also assured them that they will help these women in the process of self-reliance as they are getting an opportunity of sustainable development through the job of Screen Printing and also get help provided by FPSA in the marketing of their products. On basis of the success of the program, WBWDU granted a repeat training program for another 50 women of Bishnupur block in the same trade, in 2009. On basis of the overwhelming success of SWAWLAMBAN Project at Bishnupur, WBWDU in the year 2009 sanctioned another grant to FPSA for training in Readymade Garment Making the trade for 50 rural poor & marginalized women under Chhatna Block of Bankura District, to FPSA.

This program was also very successful-now beneficiaries after completion of their training find a regular source for income generation as Banks of the area also come forward to help these women and FPSA also extended help in the marketing of their products.
